I’m very lucky (and old) to have about sixteen years experience in the design and implementation of Recruitment and Human Resources strategies, from sourcing initiatives, recruitment process re-engineering, ATS and HRIS selection and implementation, Reward and Recognition, Training and Development, Performance Management and OKR implementation, usage of a metrics led approach and building teams of recruiters that drive up quality and drive down costs. I have successfully recruited for many areas – software development, trading, financial services and sales.

In my career to date I have been fortunate enough to work in Australia, India, China, the USA and Canada.

I’m one of the founders of a meet up group for in-house recruiters called DBR. What started out as a few friends meeting for a drink on a Monday evening in August 2014, has grown into a regular meet-up, an online Slack community and a series of monthly learning events, where recruiters share their experience with each other and discuss the issues we face on a day to day basis.

DBR is a safe place for in-house recruiters, modelled on an open source software community. We share our problems and ideas, and get constructive advice on the methods and tools peers are using. If you’re an in-house recruiter you can join the community here.

I’m the  VP of Customer Advocacy at Workable. Helping to build the Workable user community, speaking at events and conferences about how we can all hire better and trying to help Workable build great products and experiences that delight customers.

Workable is the all-in-one recruiting software that makes it easier for companies of all stages and sizes to find, track, and assess the most valuable asset; their people. Check it out here

If you’d like me to speak at one of your events, want to know more about Workable or have another reason for getting in touch you can do that here!
